Vidas on initial thought, I would like to see the age (days is most appropriate for me), colour coding would be nice to have, but not an immediate requirement, But filtering of sorts would be very helpful.

Once a task has reached the end of the workflow, it would be great to see how long it spent in each column (including children and sub columns)

Joe Trodler: would you inspect each item one by one to see their detailed breakdown of lifecycle accross board or would you be looking at something like CFD chart for items per time basis?

Vidas I believe I have 2 use cases. 1 to look at the live Kanban and take action if a task is aging too much in a column (using a layer). The case would be performance reviews, particularly checking if a task took unusually long in a column and take some lessons learned from that.

i could do the second one if the team accurately tracked the actual hours spent, but the team would not adopt it do the degree necessary. It would also not work where 3rd party tasks are tracked. Age by column would in my view give a good proxy. Happy to go through a mockup of the use cases
