Show parrent items names in timeline
complete

We have many products going through exact same steps, we use child items for that.
As a result the timeline looks like a bunch of items with the same name. So we have to manually copy ant paste the parrent items' name to the child items, this way it is more clear. Item ID's dont help a lot because they are more like a code than a name.
An example: a product needs to go through a Quality check (QC).
Ten people are doing QC at the moment for ten products.
Timeline just says: QC; QC; QC; QC...
It COULD say: QC // product 1; QC // product 2; and so on.

Max Brandon Fuqua Martynas Gailius so it would be same behavior as in Workload. Where it shows full path to item. Just instead of board/row path, you would like to see parent item title?

Vidas: We primarily use Workload, so yes, in Workload if the parent item title could be shown that would be what we are wanting. It could be as you describe, the item path replaced with parent item title (Blue in my example below). It could also be that the parent item title is displayed after the child item title, separated by a dash(-) or colon (:) or something (Red in my example below). Either of these would work great for us.
Would also appreciate the check box option to pick if the parent item title is displayed or a different parent item custom field. Flexibility and customization is always a benefit!

Vidas: Yes, exactly. Of course it would even be better, if the parent item's name is in bold and in the same row as the child item's name, because that's actually the more important piece of information.

Vidas: Yes, I think that's right. The main point would be to quickly distinguish multiple similar child items. One area of benefit for this would be on the "My Agenda" section. I might be able to see that I need to get 3 accounts opened to day and tomorrow, but I'd like to know which client files we'll need to access in preparation for the work.

Agree with this as well. Our Client Account Opening goes through the exact same process with very little customization, and one client may have 4-5 accounts being opened at once.

YES!!! We also need the child item to have the parent item name as part of it. We have the exact same issue. We have many repeating child items for our projects.
Our example is projects go through design steps: Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Drawings (CD), Construction Administration (CA).
These child items repeat for every project.
I would love the flexibility to checkbox a parent item parameter that could be included in the child item name (not just a default, but we get to customize it). Again as example, we have added an item field that is our project number (example: 23-145). So if we could checkbox to include parent item field project number in child name, it could look like: SD: 23-145, DD: 23-145, CD: 23-145, CA: 23-145 and so on for each project.
Thanks!!
