It would be very useful to have the possibility to cross-reference (or even preview) attachments inside the work item description; or at least be able to consult both at the same time. For instance, today when you have a work item with attached images, opening the image hides the description text behind the image, which can make it more complicated to interpret correctly the content of the work item.
