View child items as separate tasks

Many of the views could be improved by toggling to show the child items as independent tasks. This avoids having to show the parent task and expanding. For example, almost all of our projects have a "drafting" child task. We need to allocate these tasks across our drafting team. There is no way to cleanly shown only these child tasks.
For example, this feature is available in Clickup which allows for some powerful filtering options.

Stephen Yarnold Richard just a quick heads up from our side - we are working on a workspace level list view which will have flexible grouping settings. I will do my best to incorporate your particular need about "expanded" or in our terminology - ungrouped items.

Stephen Yarnold Yes, in the end it's only a work-around. We use it in the list view though, collapsed by default, which creates acceptably clean lists, as it's only one line per project that has the particular task uncompleted.

Stephen Yarnold We had the same issue and created a work-around with templates with the standard childs and each child having a tag. Our child name would be "drafting" and it would have a tag called "drafting" (similarly, we have childs/tags like "quote" and "assembly"). We then created a view called "drafting" that filters on the Drafting-tag (similarly a separate view for each of the other default tasks). This creates clean lists.

Richard. Not a bad approach. However, this still requires the parent task to be shown and expanded. The feature that I would like is an option to toggle subtasks to show as their own individual tasks. This is a feature in Clickup for example.
