I have cloned some recurring project structures but the status from the source is "Complete" or "Done" and in the cloned tasks this is also the case which makes no sense since they have just been created. Additionally there is no way to change the status of all tasks at once as far as I know so I have to manually reset the status of each an every single task. A potential workaround is to have a "Template" of the project that is not used other than to create copies of it but this does not solve the "wrong" logic.
